Richfield Ventures Corp. is a public mineral exploration company trading on the TSX Venture Exchange under the symbol RVC. Richfield rises on Blackwater-Davidson drilling

BLACKWATER GOLD PROJECT

The prospect was discovered in 1973 through a stream sediment geochemical survey. Follow-up geophysical and geochemical surveys led to drilling and between 1985 and in 1992, 36 diamond and 34 reverse circulation holes were drilled on the property. This drilling discovered the Gold and Silver zones two areas with anomalous gold and silver. Since 1992, a further 10 holes were drilled, and geochemical and geophysical surveys conducted. Silver Quest Resources optioned a part of the prospect in 2005 and drilled 5 more holes. One intersected the New Zone and in early 2006 Silver Quest drilled two more holes to test the discovery. The property then remained idle until Richfield optioned it from Silver Quest.

Richfield Ventures Corp. optioned the Blackwater-Davidson prospect from Silver Quest Resources in March 2009 (NR March 23, 2009). In order that it could explore the entire prospect and not just the northern part Richfield subsequently optioned the Dave Claim south of the Silver Quest option from private individuals (NR May 12, 2009). The Blackwater-Davidson prospect straddles the boundary of the two properties.

Richfield compiled the drill data on the property by various operators from previous work. These data are largely in the public domain and assays are available for most of the existing diamond drill holes; no data were discovered for the RC holes.

Based on this compilation Richfield determined to drill the combined properties and prepared a detailed plan for this work with a team of experts in early June 2009 Richfield (NR June 2, 2009). Richfield's drill plan aimed to test known mineralization to depth, to test continuity of mineralization between the Gold, New and Silver Zones and to test the large induced potential chargeability and resistivity highs over the property.

The drill, supplied by Falcon Drilling of Prince George, was mobilized to the property in mid July (NR July 16, 2009) and drilling began on the first of 15 holes shortly after (BW 42- BW 56). A large core diameter (HQ) was decided because drill problems in the past led to holes being abandoned before target. Large diameter core also allows for more representative sampling; especially important in testing gold mineralization. The 15 holes drilled total 2532 meters.

Because a number of the holes intersected significant mineralization the drill program was extended to include four further drill holes (BW 57-60). Richfield drilling is 43-101 resource estimate compliant. Unlike the historic drill data, the results of the drilling can therefore be used with results of future holes to construct a resource estimate for the property.
